Inspired by Montessori principles, Ben Drury and Filip Denker founded Yoto in 2017. The very first Yoto Player launched on Kickstarter, then sold out in 2019. The second generation Yoto Player was designed with renowned design agency, Pentagram, and launched in early 2020.

From stories to songs, activities to education, there’s audio for every adventure on Yoto without using a screen. Durable and easily organised, the Yoto cards help develop fine motor skills while encouraging independent play.
Yoto Daily Podcast: A daily micro podcast for kids Yoto Daily is the free podcast for kids. It’s hosted by Yoto’s very own Jake Harris – a former primary school teacher – and is packed with fun facts, activities, games and jokes.
Yoto Radio: A 24 hour, family- friendly stream, Yoto Radio is an always-on stream of hand-picked music for families. It’s always ad free and plays a delightfully diverse range of classic and current hits. At night it changes to Yoto Sleep Radio, a calming collection of sleepy songs and sounds.

Following on from the highly regarded Yoto Player is the Yoto Mini. All the Yoto fun in a smaller size. Lightweight and easy to fit into your handbag the Yoto Mini is a perfect size for taking on trips away from home.
Like the Yoto Player, Yoto Mini is simple to set up and use so children can independently listen to their favourite stories, listen to their favourite music or enjoy the content available through the Yoto app. Our older testers really enjoyed listening to the child focused podcasts and radio stations and the stories and sleep sounds make for an easy and stress free bedtime.
Yoto Mini provides similar literacy benefits children get from reading a book and encourages reading through the audio books and stories. Yoto Mini also promotes good listening skills and encourages relaxation and down time.
