Description
Players use their worm cards to add to the wiggly line by joining heads with tails to spell words. Not only are the cards double-sided to maximise the number of combinations, they also feature hilarious characters that children will love! There’s sailors, superheroes, and even a punk, to name just a few!
Children will be able to practise spellings they already know as well as learning new words. You might need a dictionary to hand too in case you need to check a player’s word..!

What our experts think
Wiggly Words is a fun game that encourages children to take turns while helping to build their vocabulary and phonetic knowledge. The instructions are easy to follow and while some younger children needed help initially to understand the rules, they were soon able to play independently.
Sounding out different words from the letters available on each ‘worm’ is a great way to engage children’s existing phonetic knowledge and encourage them to further their understanding of word and letter sounds. As they use up the different word worms, they are also developing their vocabulary and practicing their spelling skills. The children even enjoyed making up a story using the words on their wiggly line!
