A screen free, connection free audiobook player that can be used absolutely anywhere. There is no set up at all which appeals to children as they can literally put the book in and hit play. It comes with a port for headphones which is really useful for when the whole family aren’t listening together. The website is very good and has an extensive audiobook library that even allows you to listen to a free sample to help children choose the right story for them.

Our testers loved the stories supplied and enjoyed cuddling up with a teddy and listening to their favourites. They also listened to the books in bed as a way to wind down for sleep. Parents loved the sleep mode option as this meant the player turned off after 20 minutes which was perfect when using as part of a bed time routine. They liked the fact it doesn’t rely on Wi-Fi meaning it could be used on long car journeys or plane rides. They also liked the option to try the books before buying and found that the Voxblock helped even their less keen readers get engaged with stories.
