Here’s how each mission with this coding toy for kids unfolds: kids draw a coding rescue challenge card, transform their coding robot into one of three vehicles (police car, fire truck, or construction vehicle) and code to save the day! Along the way, they’ll learn new skills, from 100% screen-free STEM and coding to critical thinking, logic, and more. When they’re not saving the day in Code Mode, kids can also snap a new vehicle shell onto their coding robot and discover the light, sounds, and tricks of Play Mode. The Switcheroo Coding Crew game consists of an interactive town map that connects like a puzzle and a programmable robotic car that can be changed into a variety of familiar vehicles. Challenge cards are included to encourage children to programme their car and carry out rescue missions or children can create their own coding sequences themselves with the help of the story telling accessories. Our testers found this game to be wonderfully original and a great way to get children using their brains and off screens. Children loved the option of changing the robot car into a variety of vehicles and found it was easy for them to do so. This game is a fantastic introduction to STEM concepts and coding for young children. It encourages early counting and maths skills, promotes critical and logical thinking and builds concentration.
