Description
Classic Swingball is a great way to keep kids active and enjoy a fun, fast and furious game without having to knock on the neighbours door to ask for your ball back! The Swingball set traditionally features a ball and tether attached to the spiral head of a solid base pole. The aim of the game is to get the ball to the top or the bottom, depending on the player, of the spiral. Classic Swingball also comes with two lightweight bats.
What our testers said
“It’s great that the ball doesn’t get lost. It’s often that case that the simple games are the best” – Play-worker observing children aged 6-9 years
What our experts think
We loved seeing the children develop their hand-eye coordination whilst playing together and were pleasantly surprised to see some children practicing their forehands and backhands playing by themselves. Children who said they like tennis were particularly engaged with this but children who were nervous about learning to play tennis seemed to feel that this was a fun way to try because it didn’t matter if you missed – the ball just came round again. It’s a good way to develop healthy competition as well as supporting physical development of arms, upper body and balance.
