Description
Bring story time alive with this set from Halilit: featuring a story book and an owl themed instrument allowing little ones to join in and develop early music skills at the same time. The owl whistle makes a realistic hooting sound when gently blown, whilst the book (telling the story of mummy and baby owl) is perfect to encourage early music making skills.
What our testers said

What our experts think
A great interactive book to engage and delight children, ideal for little hands. Our testers loved the story and were excited by the addition of the whistle toy, which we found kept the children’s interest when they were listening. It suited a range of ages, as younger children liked listening to the story while older ones had a go at reading it themselves (it is good for an emergent reader), some of our testers even enjoyed telling the story themselves from memory.
Making reading fun keeps children engaged, meaning they can learn valuable skills in listening and concentration and develop their knowledge and vocabulary. We like that the story provides the opportunity for sound and rhythm making, which develops sensory awareness, creativity and imaginative skills. Replicating and role playing the different animal sounds and movements from the story also develops children’s understanding of different animals in the world around them.
