What our experts think
The imaginative Chef Corner Restaurant play set provides children with plentiful opportunities to engage their creativity, storytelling and language skills. It also allows children to reenact activities they have seen in the household, for example making a cup of tea or cooking pasta! Acting out these familiar scenarios in their play helps children to make sense of the world around them.
As well as having fun, while children act out cooking and washing up, they are learning and practicing important life and self-care skills. Additionally, features of the restaurant including the calculator, till and menu allow children the opportunity to familiarise themselves and practice real-world behaviours. This is a great way to build their independence and confidence with making choices. While the play set proved a little complicated and time consuming to put together initially, the included stickers really bring it to life and make it both realistic and interactive.
