What our experts think
The Perplexus hybrid cube is a colourful, hands-on puzzle game, which really challenges children’s problem-solving, coordination and thinking skills. We liked how it encouraged the children to really think about their route before making any moves – planning ahead and evaluating different options and outcomes are key STEM skills. The children soon got the hang of twisting and turning the cube, which used lots of hand-eye coordination. The solutions and hints found online also really helped with getting the hang of how to solve the puzzle.
The children enjoyed how challenging it was, although this did cause some frustration at times. However, they were determined to complete it, which showed a great sense of perseverance and kept returning to it over time to see if they could progress further. In fact, it was picked up by everyone in the house which makes it a great family activity, with everyone collaborating to try and finish it!
