When the children first saw the drum set, their eyes lit up, and they all ran over to the stool, picked up the sticks, and instantly started playing. Children from ages 3.5-8 years old played on the drum and had a fun time creating new beats and making music with their friends and family. In two different families, older siblings played other instruments, so the younger siblings hopped on their drum set while their older sibling played their instrument (guitar and piano) and they harmonised together.
It was evident that the drum set was very easy to use by all children and engaging for entire families. Children with neuro-diversities enjoyed creating songs for their friends and families to dance to. One of the most noticeable parts of the drum set was how children learned and adapted their playing based on their understanding of the sounds.
