This creative dough set is great for building important skills in counting, sorting and matching through imaginative play. Our little testers enjoyed making different fruits out of the dough and matching them to the corresponding picture, which helped them improve their colour and shape recognition.
Using the rolling pin to make different shapes and patterns is good for hand-eye coordination and using the knife to cut the dough strengthens hand and finger muscles, ideal for developing a pincer grip. The set provided great variety as some of our testers preferred the creative and counting aspect, while some preferred using it as a traditional play shop. We liked this as it meant they could play together in different roles, which is great for developing communication and social skills.
