What our experts think
This colourful book can help to foster your child’s interest in reading from a young age, through its fun characters and interactive cogs and tabs. Reading together is a fantastic bonding activity and whether they are having a go or listening to an adult read to them, children are developing their language, listening and attention skills.
The children enjoyed discussing the different scenes on each page, which helps their literacy skills by supporting early comprehension, as they ask questions and develop their understanding of what is happening in the story. Turning the cogs on the pages encourages dexterity, although at times they were a little stiff for little ones to turn independently, requiring some adult help.
