What our experts think
These Chunky Chalk Sticks are ideal for giant works of art on the pavement, or for drawing a hopscotch! They can also be used for any smaller art or craft project and come with holders for the chalk so that little hands stay a little cleaner. Our testers loved the large selection of colours in the box and especially liked the chalks with two colours. They enjoyed drawing hopscotch, colouring in the bricks on the outhouse, and spent hours decorating the garden by drawing designs on the fence, flower pots and stepping stones.
They extended the game by grabbing some paintbrushes and water and using them to clean away the chalk when they were finished. The holders proved really useful for children who didn’t like to get their hands dirty and those who needed help with grip. This set of Chunky Chalk Sticks encourages creativity in children away from the standard paper at the table, allowing them to broaden their design horizons while comfortable in the knowledge it will all wash away easily. They improve fine motor skills and large motor skills while developing children’s imagination.
