What our experts think

Our testers showed a high interest in Mega Science Advent Calendar. The familiar calendar concept, element of surprise, and the scientific exploration intrigued them and kept them engaged and learning in a fun, creative manner. The advent calendar layout helps keep everything organised while building their tools, materials, and samples with each experiment or activity featured. The children showed a high interest in the “reveal” and repeat engagement with this active learning science kit. It’s robust set of materials and experiments support learning about various chemical reactions, crystal  growing, gemstones, and more.  They were eager to experiment along with the instructions and to further explore concepts and outcomes with the adult supervision indicated.

It was fantastic to see all of the social interactions and teamwork while working in pairs or small family groups.  This extensive, hands on kit was easy to use while also supporting gains in scientific knowledge, executive functioning, communication, and following instructions. The children drawn to this set were keen to use it as intended and were observed to start branching out into budding scientist endeavours.  This STEAM activity set is appropriate for both the home and academic setting.
