Our testers’ anticipation was palpable when they learned what was coming in the mail. When the activity kit was made available, they wanted to dive right in. They were interested in observing the caterpillars grow and were fascinated by how fast they grew, how they adhered themselves to the top, and eventually became a chrysalis. Anticipation then reignited the closer it got to “butterfly” day. They were very intrigued by the butterflies’ life cycle, the opportunity to see it unfold, and to participate in the nurturing of the butterfly before release.
Using this Butterfly Growing Kit is an excellent family activity and with multiple sets, this STEAM product supports learning scientific facts, while it encourages opportunities for discussion regarding life cycles, habitats, and the environment.
