Description
Mind the Gap is a card game that transports players to the London Underground.
Each player is dealt eight cards and must match a coloured line from the previous card in order to play. However, players mustn’t bank on their opponents giving them an easy ride as the aim is to slow rivals down with an arsenal of special cards that can be used on other passengers to trip them up. If a player cannot lay a card, they must pick up another and do their best to avoid falling victim to the special playing cards that demand players to ‘miss a go’ or ‘change direction of play.’

“It is fun because you can learn about different stations.” Boy aged 7
What our experts think
Mind the Gap is a fun and engaging card game; the cards are brightly coloured and packaged in a robust (and eye-catching) tin. Our testers really liked the way in which it used the London Underground and many of them related it to their own visits to London. The gameplay was simple and the children picked up the rules quickly and were able to explain them to other players. They really enjoyed the game and encouraged others to join in.
The children enjoyed using the action cards and quickly worked out how they could strategically use them to their advantage; this caused laughter and groans among the players! The game is perfect for family play and due to its size is great for days out or holidays; some of our testers worked out you could pile the cards instead of laying them out meaning it could be played in a small place.
