Description
Metamorphabet is an interactive alphabet app. Each letter has a range of interactions; poke, prod, drag, and spin each of the 26 letters of the alphabet to reveal surprises.
The app is easy to use and has appealing graphics; the bold colours are engaging and the interactions varied and fun. The app helps children identify the letters of the alphabet and links them with their corresponding written form. It also helps children widen their vocabulary and recognise how sounds can become written words.

What our experts think
Metamorphabet is a delightfully animated app full of surprises! Our tester loved the way they could click on each letter and watch the various interactions – there was great variety.
We really liked the way in which the app engaged children with the fun and humour – children enjoyed exploring the different letters of the alphabet.
The links between the written letter, words and the spoken was clear; this forms an important building block to learning to read and write. There was a wide range of words and this helped the testers widen their vocabulary.
