Numberblocks are friendly characters that help young children see how numbers really work. Now children can build their own Numberblocks with the new special edition MathLink Cubes Numberblocks 1-10 Activity Set.

From Learning Resources, the MathLink Cubes are perfect for maths learning in the classroom and at home. Made from durable, high-quality plastic, they’re easy for little hands to click together and twist apart. Children use the MathLink Cubes blocks, Faceplates, Numberlings and stickers to build their own Numberblocks characters in all the configurations seen in the episodes. This set includes a special edition Zero Numberling.

Use the Character Cards to learn more about the number magic behind each Numberblock. The cards have quick, easy maths activities based on the numbers 1-10, and are ideal for hands-on maths learning. Use the cards with the Supporting Activity Guide to help children see how numbers really work.

The write-and-wipe Activity Cards feature 30 activities that closely follow several episodes from Series 1-3. Try watching the episodes alongside for hands-on learning reinforcement – double the Numberblock fun!

What our experts think

The Numberblocks Mathlink® Cubes are a lovely way to develop maths skills in a fun and accessible way. We really liked the instructions booklet which parents found helpful in making the most of the learning opportunities. We found it great for developing a range of maths concepts, including pattern recognition, number bonds, shapes and basic addition and subtraction. The fact that there are simple activities that children as young as 3 can engage with whilst also still being engaging and challenging for 6 year olds is a real strength of these cubes.

These cubes are felt to be particularly beneficial for home learning with an adult or older peers as children learnt very quickly when supported with some instructions on some of the activities.
