Description
Match and Spell is two Orchard Toys games in one! Both games involve collecting letters. In game one, players aim to recognise and collect letters in order to spell first words and in game two this is developed to correctly sound out as many words as possible. This varied and educational game promotes letter recognition, phonetic word building and matching of pictures and words.

What our experts think
The Match and Spell game is really good for helping children practice individual letters and phonics, as well learning to blend these into words. Younger children can simply match the letters with each other, while older children can create their own words using the letter tiles. We like that there are also pictures, to help children recognise the words and connect the name and the object together. The game encourages children to take turns as well, which is an important social skill.
