What our experts think
The Magna-Tiles Safari Animals set adds an animal theme to the versatile, magnetic construction tiles, allowing children to engage in creative and open-ended play. There are fantastic opportunities for children to design, connect and build which helps them to develop important STEM skills such as logical thinking, visual planning and creative problem-solving. As they explore the moving pieces, children develop their understanding of concepts such as geometry and magnetism.
The animal theme was particularly great for encouraging imaginative play and allowing children to come up with simple storylines. They engaged in pretend play with the structures and created mini-habitats for the animal figures. This type of play is fantastic for helping children to develop language and storytelling skills and also encourages them to collaborate with their peers to communicate the storyline.
