What our testers said

“A woman and a fairy went to the office and then the zoo. They saw a tiger there, and when it started to rain they met an explorer called Clara.” – Boy, aged 8

“Let’s make a story together!” – Girl, aged 6

What our experts think

Children needed a little guidance initially on how to play, but very quickly began to play independently. Little Library Storytelling Box is great for encouraging children’s imagination through storytelling. Our testers liked the pictures on the discs which are the inspiration for the stories and the size of the box the game comes in makes it ideal for on-the-go or taking on holiday.

The game helps develop communication skills. As children played together and listened to each other they were exposed to new vocabulary and also gained confidence in sharing their ideas with others. They were really focused when playing and very creative as they came up with their ideas for the stories, feeding off each other’s energy and enthusiasm.

The small book with blank pages supplied, enabled children to practise writing their short stories, while others preferred to draw pictures to represent their stories in a comic book style. An open ended and flexible game with no right or wrong answers that our testers clearly enjoyed very much.
