What our experts think
A vibrantly eye-catching toy that has a lot for little hands to explore. We loved the smiles the octopus elicited from our testers, they absolutely loved playing with it. There are many different textures and sounds which provided multi-sensory stimulation and it captured the children’s attention for a long time! The teether was a good addition for chewing and as a soother for teething gums.
We observed that the toy also promoted trial and error learning, with the children repeating the actions that gave an effect they enjoyed, which also teaches cause and effect i.e. pressing the head makes a squeaking noise. The mirror feature was popular and is good for teaching children concepts of self awareness and pointing out their facial features. The parents of our testers approved of the size and durability of the toy, and considered it good value, as it offers activities as well as functioning as a cuddly toy.
