Kudo Banz is a parenting aid that aims to help parents with everyday struggles such as potty training, tantrums and bedtime routines.
The hardcover storybook gets kids excited about their new adventure and introduces Kudo Banz in a fun way. Children then get their wrist band to keep them focused on their progress – unlike a traditional sticker chart they can always see it! As they achieve their goals, children are rewarded with Kudos charms to add to their bands; there are also magical Kudos charms that unlock the reward wheel in the free app.

What our experts think
The Kudos Banz is a simple and effective parenting aid. It is really easy to use and the children were eager to get started. The system promotes independence through positive reinforcement and made the children more aware of their actions and choices, which teaches responsibility and commitment. The addition of the book for setting the scene and introducing the bands is engaging, but younger children may find it a little long. We loved that the wristband was a constant reminder and that positive behaviour could be rewarded when out and about – as instant praise is very effective. The app is a great addition and the children really enjoyed scanning their stars and keeping track of their progression – they also loved that it could be personalised with their own photo. The customisable reward wheel was a big hit and our testers enjoyed spinning it and seeing what they got! Our parents liked the way in which they could set the targets with the child, meaning that they were engaged in the process from the start – attainable goals give children a sense of pride when they are achieved.
