Description
A child’s first remote control toy – made out of soft touch plastic with easy forwards, backwards and spin around controls.
The Johnny Tractor RC features a simple, two-button controller meaning that little ones can drive Johnny around while making him twist and turn.
Johnny is durable enough to take bumps and bounces, yet soft enough that he won’t mark up walls or furniture.
What our testers said
“It’s easy peasy – you press the spin button to make it go round and around.” Boy aged 4
“It looks really cute.” Girl aged 2
What our experts think
The John Deere tractor proved very popular with our testers. They loved pressing the buttons and watching the tractor move (but not always in the direction they intended!). As they played with it for longer periods of time, their control became much better and they were able to manoeuvre it in more tricky places; this can help develop children’s hand eye coordination.
We really liked how this toy sparked the children’s imagination and encouraged them to experiment with trial and error. We were delighted to see them enhancing their play with different props: one pair of siblings built ramps for the tractor to go over and another child created and assault course. We observed a lot of communication and collaboration while the children played together with the tractor.
The parents of our testers pointed out that you need to remember to switch it of otherwise it can ‘come to life’ when you are not expecting it to!
