Description
The EasyRead Time Teacher Rainbow 12/24 hour Children’s 29cm (12 inch) battery operated wall clock makes it very easy for young learners to read the time when looking at analog clocks.
The numbers on our Rainbow clock are contained within boxes. The tips of the hands clearly go into the number boxes indicating which numbers the child should read. It is helpful to explain to the child that the big numbers are the hour numbers and the small numbers are the minute numbers.
Our Rainbow clock is supplied with a 2-step teaching system:
Step 1: Read the number at the end of the short hand (point to the number)
Step 2: Read the number at the end of the long hand (point to the number)
And put them all together such as 1….52, pointing the numbers as it is said.
What our testers said
“All clocks should be numbered like this!” Boy aged 12
“12 o’ clock! Move! Move! Move!” Girl aged 7
What our experts think
A brightly coloured clock that teaches children to tell the time and develops their understanding of the 24-hour clock. The two-step system makes it easy to explain to children about how to use it, breaking the process down into manageable steps. This is great for reinforcing the life skill and giving confidence to those children that find the concept challenging.
The vibrant numbers make the clock stand out on the wall, allowing for easy reading. Our little testers even commented that they thought all clocks should be numbered this way!
