Description
Enjoy hours of drawing fun with the Early Learning Centre Giant Activity Aqua Mat.
For endless mess-free fun, just fill the pen with water and draw on the mat to watch the rainbow colours reveal. Remove the bottom part of the pen, fill with water and then screw the pen tip back on. Children will love to scribble, draw and enjoy making marks with this exciting activity aqua mat. There are 8 cute animals hiding in the mat, can you find them all? Use the aqua pen to search over the mat and see how many animals magically reveal. When you have finished playing, just leave to dry, and the water marks disappear – ready for next time.

What our experts think
The Giant Activity Aqua Mat engaged our testers, encouraging creativity and learning about colours and animals. Once the pens were filled with water and some of the younger children were shown how the pens worked, no adult help was needed.
Some of the children hadn’t seen an aqua mat before and looked amazed when they started to draw. At first, some of the younger testers couldn’t get much water to come out of the pens, but once they adjusted their grip and held the pens in a more upright position, the water flowed well. This helps to teach children the correct way to hold a pen, while also developing hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
The children were keen to find the animals “hiding” on the mat and the colours of the rainbow at the top, announcing what each animal and colour was as they were revealed. There is also lots of blank space in the middle of the mat, which encouraged our testers to be creative, drawing different shapes and patterns.
There was plenty of space for two children to use the mat at the same time, and as the mat is cushioned, it was comfortable for them to kneel on or rest on their front as they drew. Once every inch of the mat was coloured and had dried, they could start over, although waiting did require quite a bit of patience as they were so eager to start drawing again!
