DISCOVERING STEM – Astronomy: Travelling to Space

Our testers were ready to jump into Discovering STEM Astronomy: Traveling to Space. They loved the concept of building their preferred model and also that they could build six (6) different space-related models, such as rockets, a landing pod, and lunar rovers, using the included building blocks and components. The set also includes well designed educational materials, including a detailed instruction manual and online resources, to enhance the learning experience and expand children’s knowledge of space science.

Children of the target age were eager to create the models and include them in some creative play. The learning guide provided additional information such as milestones in space history, what it’s like living in space, and space-related mathematical concepts for a more immersive experience. The accompanying mobile app provides excellent instructional assistance where a model can be viewed from any angle. Our testers shifted from high, quiet concentration, humming space theme songs while they built, imagining other objects they could build, and included the builds in their creative play using the models.
