What our experts think

The Discover set by Makedo is an innovative and engaging creative and educational set designed for children aged 5 and above. Discover consists of reusable connectors and cardboard construction tools that allow children to transform ordinary cardboard boxes/pieces into various imaginative creations, such as forts, vehicles, costumes, and sculptures. Our testers were very excited to embark on a variety of projects, from cameras and backpacks, to furniture pieces and interactive games.

It’s a great family activity that gives children a true hands-on experience with the construction process and children wanted to repeat play until their project was completed. This activity fosters various skills including artistic and creative thinking, design, logical thinking, and fine motor skills for tool use. There is a wealth of online projects, video tutorials, and helpful guides to get children started and continue sparking their ideas and increasing their skills in design and executive functioning. The youngest children enjoyed creating with their parents and older siblings and the older children honed and elevated the complexity and scope of their designs.
