What our experts think

The Connetix 50 Piece Pastel Transport Pack immediately engaged all children, regardless of age. The tiles sparked the children’s imagination in various ways from building vehicles that could drive and even fly to building houses on wheels that they then added magnetic characters to.

The testers maintained focus and attention while playing with the tiles and were therefore entertained for long periods of time. The testers used trial and error learning to work out what pieces they needed to create their design. The children were able to develop their fine motor skills and hand eye coordination while using their creativity to make various vehicles and create stories surrounding their builds. The magnetised tiles meant that the creations built were robust and didn’t fall down or break easily. If the children’s creations did break, the children were happy to rebuild them, adapting their design to make it stronger next time. Overall, the set provided abundant opportunities for exploration, enjoyment and learning through play.
