Age: 18 months +
A wooden clock puzzle that teaches more than the time as it contains shape sorting numbers, a weather report and a days of the week dial.
“It’s 3 o’clock now!” – Girl aged 3.
The clock puzzle was popular with our testers and it is a lovely introduction to the basics of time, children of all ages can benefit from playing with it. In our observation, the puzzle is particularly beneficial for younger children as each numbered piece fits into any of the spaces on the clock face. As a result, younger children enjoyed being able to tip the numbers out and place them back easily without limitation – this gives them a sense of achievement.
Older children could develop their number recognition and counting skills by making sure the numbered pieces were in the correct place on the clock face. All the testers engaged with it for long periods of time, they were also keen to complete the puzzle repeatedly.
