Carddies are creative colouring sets that give children the freedom of expression and storytelling – a fantastic tool to help them with language skills and communication. They can also be really helpful in allowing children to make sense of the world around them, by creating and acting out different scenarios with the characters. Taking real-world concepts and putting them into small-world play is a great way of helping children to understand things, especially as it can help to make certain experiences less scary.
Our testers enjoyed creating different characters, designing matching kits for the football team and setting up a game afterwards. Colouring the characters encourages finger control and hand-eye coordination as well as promoting discussions around colours and shapes.
