This set comes with a Peter Rabbit or Paddington soft toy and a separate, completely portable, battery operated night light that plays music and projects night sky patterns on the walls and ceiling. Our testers were keen to cuddle the soft toy, some of whom were already familiar with Peter Rabbit/Paddington, as they listened to the relaxing lullaby music and watched the lights. The addition of the toy was an added bonus for our testers, who found it comforting and helped to soothe them to sleep.
Through their relationships with soft toys, children learn how to develop emotional attachments outside of their family, while also roleplaying how to share, empathise, and take care of someone else. The nightlight is the ideal size for small hands and encouraged the children to play and explore the different functions. The timer option allows for the light and music to turn off automatically, meaning the child doesn’t have to be disturbed if they have gone to sleep. There is also a volume control and the music can be turned off while still having the lights on. This was a popular product, setting the scene for a calm and relaxed bedtime.
