Description
The popular Articulate for Kids team board game is really fun for groups of children to play together. There are more than 300 cards with over 2,000 entries in the same six categories as the original best-selling Articulate! game – Object, Nature, Person, Action, World and Random.
In each round, the players are either ‘Describers’ or ‘Guessers’. The timer is started, and the Describers take it in turns to describe their way through as many question card entries, from the different categories, as possible to their team members – the Guessers – within a 30-second time limit. Have a go yourself – with subjects like Dustbin, Homework, Farm, Juggling, Bake Off and Cracker, for instance! Each team moves its counter around the board, based on the number of words correctly identified – and the object of the game is to reach the FINISH segment before the opposing team.

What our experts think
Our testers thoroughly enjoyed Articulate for Kids! It was really easy to get started and the timer added to the excitement. We loved that you could act out and mime the descriptions too as this got the kids up and moving about.
The game helps to expand vocabulary and develop speaking and listening skills. It also encourages children to think carefully about how to communicate a description (both verbally and non-verbally) and be aware of how other people might interpret this. Board games like this also get children playing together with friends and family, building relationships and exercising social skills (including friendly competition).
